The Prijon PriLite Marlin is a fast, track-stable, and lightweight sea kayak. Its sleek, elongated design makes it an ideal travel boat. The kayak glides smoothly and steadily in a straight line, while quick directional changes are effortlessly and precisely executed by edging the boat. The flat angles along the side surfaces ensure excellent handling and high stability.
The Prijon PriLite Marlin is made from PriLite, a durable ABS material that is thermoformed. This material is sturdy, lightweight, and easy to repair. During production, the ABS composite material is vacuum-formed under heat at around 80 degrees Celsius, with the upper and lower halves joined using a double-sided U-profile. This profile increases the impact resistance of the sidewalls. As with all Prijon kayaks, the deck fittings and interior components are meticulously assembled by hand.
The key advantage of PriLite is its light weight: these boats are approximately 20% lighter than comparable models made from HTP, yet they offer significantly higher stability compared to kayaks made from fiberglass (GFK) or carbon/aramid.
