Keel strips made of CR film to protect the underside of Gumotex or Grabner boats.
The keel strips can be glued using Grabner Workshop Adhesive. Before gluing, roughen both adhesive surfaces on the boat and the keel strip with fine sandpaper and degrease them with acetone. Then, apply Grabner Workshop Adhesive thinly to both surfaces and let it dry thoroughly. Once the glue is dry, apply another layer. When the second layer is still slightly sticky, press the keel strip onto the boat and firmly press it down. Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours. It is often unavoidable that some edges of the keel strip may lift slightly after gluing. However, this generally does not pose a problem, as the keel strip still protects the boat from damage. The process of applying keel strips is demonstrated in this video. Ideally, have a second person assist you during the gluing process.
