The Grabner Escape 2 is supplied as standard with two comfortable inflatable seats, two adjustable foot braces, and four cross braces that add rigidity and help maintain a precise hull shape. In addition, the package includes a repair kit for minor damage, along with a valve wrench and an overpressure adapter. This equipment ensures you are well prepared for safe use of the Escape 2 and able to carry out basic maintenance on your own.

Beyond essential equipment such as a paddle, air pump, and personal flotation device, we recommend fitting the Grabner Escape 2 with additional D-rings. These allow items like a kayak trolley or extra gear to be securely attached to the boat, which is especially helpful when dealing with longer carries or extended tours.

The Escape 2 truly delivers its best performance when used with a rudder system. It significantly simplifies steering, improves straight-line tracking, and ensures relaxed, controlled handling even in stronger winds or choppy conditions. Paddlers who use the kayak solo on occasion or on a regular basis will particularly benefit from the rudder, as it makes the kayak noticeably easier to manage.

Setting up the Grabner Escape 2 is quick and straightforward. The kayak is built with three independent air chambers – a reinforced floor chamber and two side chambers – all inflated to 0.3 bar. This efficient inflation concept gets the sporty two-person inflatable kayak ready for use in a very short time, keeping preparation to a minimum before launching.

The Grabner Escape 2 is a closed-deck touring kayak designed for one or two slim paddlers and is ideally suited to those who value efficient, fast-paced travel on the water. Despite its narrow, performance-oriented hull, the kayak still offers sufficient storage space for two people, making multi-day tours entirely feasible. Designed for whitewater up to Class II, the Grabner Escape 2 performs well on gently moving rivers and easy whitewater sections. Its slim, sporty hull remains responsive and controllable, but does require a certain level of paddling experience to be handled confidently in splashy passages.

The Grabner Escape 2 is constructed from vulcanized 1100 dtex EPDM rubber, an exceptionally durable material that retains both elasticity and shape even under intensive use. This high-quality rubber is abrasion-resistant, UV-stable, and remains flexible in cold conditions, ensuring the kayak stays structurally reliable for many years.

Its closed-deck design protects the interior from spray and mechanical impacts, further enhancing longevity. Thanks to the sturdy hull construction, the Escape 2 maintains its shape even during sporty paddling or at higher speeds. Despite its impressive 500 cm length, the Grabner Escape 2 folds down to a compact size. The flexible EPDM material allows for a tight pack, so the kayak takes up surprisingly little space in its transport bag. Weighing 27.5 kg, it is heavier than the single-seater but can be easily carried by two people from the car to the water.

After a tour, the material dries quickly, allowing the Escape 2 to be packed away without delay. Once folded, it fits into many larger cars or a camper van—making it an ideal choice for paddling pairs who want a fast, sporty touring kayak while remaining flexible on the move.
