When rolled up, the HYPE has a handy packing size of 70 x 30 x 15 cm. This corresponds to a volume of just 6% of the boat size and allows easy transport by car, train or plane. But: The HYPE is not a packraft! Made of original Grabner rubber boat skin, the HYPE is incredibly robust.
Contact with stones is no problem and offers maximum safety. In addition, the material is environmentally friendly and can be easily repaired.
The high air pressure makes the boat extremely stable and enables the paddler to experience an efficient and direct ride. A big difference to thin plastic foil boats.
The HYPE is moved with ease through every wave. The short boat length of 245 cm makes the boat extremely manoeuvrable – ideal in rough waters! The serially waterproof closed deck with seat hatch offers a first-class ride comfort; you always sit in the dry and not in the cold water!
It is anything but easy to meet the high demands of white water paddlers. Especially when the boat has to be foldable into a small package. For two years numerous prototypes were built, tested and analyzed by experts at the Augsburger Eiskanal in Germany. In this way many innovative details were created.

For the Grabner Hype, we recommend D-rings in addition to classic accessories like paddles, pumps, or life jackets. This allows you to attach items like a throw bag and other gear conveniently to your Grabner boat.
With a good air pump, the Grabner Hype can be set up in just a few minutes. The Hype comprises three air chambers – one floor chamber and two side chambers – all inflated to 0.3 bar.
Das Grabner Hype besteht aus hochwertigem 1100 dtex EPDM-Kautschuk – einem extrem widerstandsfähigen Material, das speziell für harte Wildwasserbedingungen entwickelt wurde. Dieser Gummi ist sehr abriebfest, behält auch bei Kälte seine Elastizität und steckt wiederholte Felskontakte, Geröll und starke Strömungen mühelos weg.
Die kompakte Bauform verteilt Belastungen gleichmäßig über den Rumpf, wodurch das Hype auch bei intensivem Paddeln seine Form und Dichtigkeit behält. Zusätzlich sorgt die vulkanisierte Verarbeitung dafür, dass das Material selbst nach vielen Saisonen keine Schwächen zeigt. Damit zählt das Hype zu den langlebigsten Wildwasser-Luftkajaks am Markt.
Durch seine kurze Bauform lässt sich das Grabner Hype sehr kompakt zusammenlegen und besonders leicht transportieren. Mit nur 13,5 kg gehört es zu den handlichsten Wildwasser-Luftkajaks überhaupt und kann bequem über der Schulter oder auf dem Rücken getragen werden.
Das EPDM-Material trocknet schnell und lässt sich sauber falten, sodass das Hype problemlos in kleine Kofferräume oder in den Stauraum eines Campers passt.
