The standard package of the Gumotex Seashine already includes everything you need to get started right away. It comes with two comfortable seats and two adjustable footrests, ensuring an ergonomic paddling position. The included fin significantly improves tracking and supports efficient straight-line paddling.

Also included are a repair kit for minor damage, a valve wrench, a sponge for cleaning, and a robust 135-litre transport bag that allows the Seashine to be packed away safely and compactly.

For the Gumotex Seashine, accessories that further enhance the excellent tracking and touring performance of the dropstitch kayak are particularly worthwhile. A rudder system is especially recommended, as it makes precise steering easier and offers a noticeable advantage on large lakes or in windy conditions.

With the optional single or double cockpit, the open kayak can be converted into a closed touring kayak – ideal for longer distances, colder days, or splashier conditions. For efficient paddling, we also recommend suitable touring paddles, a reliable pump, and a personal flotation device.

If you transport the kayak frequently, a canoe trolley is very practical. Thanks to its dropstitch stiffness, the Seashine is easy to pull, making the walk to and from the water significantly more comfortable.

Setting up the Gumotex Seashine is quick and straightforward. With a good air pump, the kayak is fully inflated in just a few minutes. It consists of three air chambers – one floor chamber and two side chambers – all equipped with easy-to-use Push-Push valves. The side chambers are inflated to 0.25 bar, while the dropstitch floor is inflated to 0.5 bar.

Important: the fin should be inserted before inflating, as it cannot be fitted properly once the kayak is fully pressurised. It simply slides into the mount on the underside of the kayak and later provides noticeably improved tracking.

With a bit of routine, the Seashine is ready to launch within minutes and set for your next tour.

The Gumotex Seashine can be used flexibly as a single, tandem, or three-person kayak. When paddled solo, it offers plenty of space for gear and is ideal for longer tours or weekend trips. With two paddlers, there is still ample room for day or touring equipment, and the kayak sits well balanced on the water.

With three people, space naturally becomes more limited, but it works well for shorter outings or trips with a child or a lighter third passenger. An additional seat is required for this configuration and is available separately.

The Gumotex Seashine is a versatile inflatable touring kayak, designed for waters where good tracking and efficient glide are essential. It performs particularly well on lakes, large bodies of water, and slow-flowing rivers, where the dropstitch keel ensures excellent directional stability.

On wider rivers, the Seashine remains smooth and controlled to paddle. While it is stable enough for light whitewater (WW II), its primary focus is clearly on recreational and touring paddling with efficient forward movement.

On narrow creeks or very winding sections, the Seashine reaches its limits due to its length – shorter kayaks are better suited in these conditions. For open water, touring stages, and longer outings, however, it is an excellent choice.

The outer skin is resistant to abrasion, UV exposure, and mechanical stress, such as contact with gravel or rocky shorelines. The dropstitch floor adds extra stiffness and stability and is reinforced along its entire length with a keel protection strip that helps prevent wear and damage.

As with all Gumotex boats, the seams and connections are manufactured to a very high standard, giving the Seashine a long service life even with regular use. The material dries quickly, is easy to maintain, and retains its shape and performance over many years.
