Gumotex Swing 1 (New Version)

The Gumotex Swing 1 comes with a seat and footrest. The included fin significantly improves the directional stability of the Gumotex Swing 1. Also included: a repair kit for minor damages, a valve key, a sponge for cleaning, and a fabric carry bag for transport.

Since the seat of the Gumotex Swing 1 is quite uncomfortable, we recommend the Gumotex Seashine seat as an alternative. It is inflatable and significantly more comfortable than the original seat.

In addition to standard accessories like paddle, pump, or life jacket, we also recommend a canoe trolley. It makes transporting the Gumotex Swing 1 much easier.

The Gumotex Swing 1 can be inflated in just a few minutes using a good air pump. Before that, insert the two cross braces into the loops inside the cockpit and attach the seat's backrest.

The Swing 1 consists of three air chambers (one floor and two side chambers), all equipped with easy-to-use Push-Push valves. All three chambers are inflated to an operating pressure of 0.2 bar. Finally, the coaming is inserted to shape the cockpit.

Important: The fin should be attached before inflating — simply slide it into the fitting on the underside of the Gumotex Swing 1.

The Gumotex Swing 1 is a single-person kayak. Even taller paddlers will find enough space inside — the legroom is noticeably larger than in the Gumotex Rush 1.

The Gumotex Swing 1 is primarily designed for small and fast-flowing rivers up to whitewater level II. It also performs well on calm water, although it is slower there compared to longer inflatable kayaks.

Besonders auf Kleinflüssen und Wildwasserstufen bis II profitiert man von der widerstandsfähigen Außenhaut, die Kontakt mit Steinen, Ästen oder flachen Passagen gut wegsteckt.

Zusätzliche Verstärkungen wie der stabile Süllrand, wasserdichte Deckreißverschlüsse und verbesserte Kenterleinen machen das 2025er Swing 1 noch alltagstauglicher und sicherer. Bei guter Pflege – vor allem Trocknung und UV-Schutz – bleibt das Kajak über viele Jahre hinweg zuverlässig einsatzbereit.

Durch sein geringes Gewicht und das kompakte Packmaß lässt sich das Swing 1 besonders leicht handhaben. Im Gegensatz zu größeren Modellen wird es im mitgelieferten Stoffbeutel verstaut, der sich sehr gut im Kofferraum, Camper oder sogar im Rucksack transportieren lässt.

Gerade für Reisen, Bahnfahrten oder Touren mit häufigen Umtragungen ist das Swing 1 daher ideal. Wer es noch bequemer möchte, kann einen Kanuwagen nutzen – so lässt sich das Boot vom Auto zum Einstiegspunkt oder über längere Distanzen mühelos ziehen.
