Gumotex Swing 1 (Model 2025)

The new Gumotex Swing 1 comes with everything needed to get on the water straight away. The kayak is supplied with a seat and an adjustable footrest, providing a stable and ergonomic seating position.

The included fin significantly improves tracking and helps the Swing 1 maintain a clean, straight course, even on calm water. Additional items include a repair kit for minor damage, a valve wrench and a sponge for cleaning.

The new model is delivered with a compact fabric bag that is easy to store and transport, making it well suited for small river trips and travel.

For longer trips or increased seating comfort, upgrading the new Gumotex Swing 1 with the Gumotex Seashine seat is well worth considering. This inflatable high-back seat provides noticeably better lower and upper back support and improves overall ergonomics, especially on longer river sections.

A pump with a pressure gauge is also recommended to ensure accurate inflation pressure, along with a paddle matched to body height and a personal flotation device for safety and stability while paddling.

For transport, a compact canoe trolley is a practical addition, allowing the Swing 1 to be moved comfortably from the car to the launch point even over longer distances. This keeps the overall setup light, flexible and easy to handle.

Setting up the Gumotex Swing 1 (2025 model) is quick and straightforward, even for paddlers with little experience. With a good air pump, the kayak is ready to launch within just a few minutes.

First, the two cross braces are inserted into the designated loops inside the cockpit, and the seat backrest is secured. The three air chambers – the floor and both side chambers – are then inflated using the proven push-push valves. All chambers are inflated to an operating pressure of 0.2 bar.

Once the kayak has taken its shape, the cockpit rim is inserted, giving the cockpit its stable structure. The final step is fitting the fin, which is easily slid into the mounting bracket on the underside of the hull before inflation.

With these steps completed, the Swing 1 is ready for the water in no time at all, making it ideal for spontaneous river trips and light whitewater adventures.
