What should I look out for when buying a life jacket?

Broadly speaking, there are two types of life vests. Inflatable boats often have seats with very high backs. For these, a "High-Back" life vest is ideal. In this design, the back buoyancy is positioned higher towards the neck, allowing for a free back while paddling and preventing the life vest from coming into contact with the seat's backrest. In contrast, solid and folding boats typically have much lower seat backs. These boats can be paddled with a "Low-Back" life vest, where the buoyancy covers the entire back.

What accessories do I need for my canoe or kayak?

The accessories you need for your canoe or kayak depend largely on how and where you plan to use it. Essential equipment usually includes a suitable paddle, a life jacket and, for inflatable boats, a pump and pressure gauge to monitor the correct air pressure.

For added comfort and safety on the water, there is a wide range of useful canoe and kayak accessories available. These include kayak trolleys for transport, D-rings for securing gear, spray decks for luggage or the cockpit, and rudder systems for improved tracking on longer tours.

Yes, you can return items within 14 days of receiving them under your statutory right of withdrawal. Please pack the products carefully and, if possible, include a copy of the delivery note or invoice so that we can process your return quickly.
