Gumotex Caleya – Inflatable Kayak

The standard package of the Gumotex Caleya includes everything you need to get started on the water right away. It comes with a comfortable inflatable seat with backrest (featuring a push-push valve) and an adjustable footrest for a stable and ergonomic paddling position.

The included rear crossbar allows you to reinforce the kayak for additional stability when needed. The supplied fin significantly improves tracking and helps maintain a straight course, especially on open water.

Also included are a repair kit for minor damage, a valve key, a sponge for cleaning and a transport bag for compact storage.

For the best paddling experience, we recommend using a pump with a pressure gauge to ensure the correct air pressure. It’s also important to choose a paddle that matches your height and to wear a life jacket for added safety on the water.

For transport on land, a compact kayak trolley is highly recommended. It makes it much easier to carry the Gumotex Caleya over longer distances from your car to the launch point.

The Gumotex Caleya can be set up in just a few minutes, making it ideal for spontaneous trips. It features three air chambers (one floor chamber and two side chambers), all equipped with easy-to-use push-push valves. All chambers are inflated to 0.2 bar. The inflatable seat and footrest are also quick to install and ready to use in no time.

Important: The fin and optional rear crossbar should be installed before inflating the kayak. The fin slides into the designated slot on the underside and significantly improves tracking on the water.

The Gumotex Caleya is a single-person kayak designed for one paddler. Thanks to its optimised bow shape, it offers generous legroom, allowing even taller paddlers to sit comfortably with plenty of freedom of movement.

The centrally positioned seat ensures balanced weight distribution and good control on the water. The adjustable footrest allows the interior to be adapted to different body sizes, providing a comfortable experience for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

The Gumotex Caleya is a versatile single kayak suitable for a wide range of water conditions. On lakes and larger rivers, it performs well with good straight-line tracking, strong directional stability and a secure, stable feel. Thanks to its compact design, it is also highly manoeuvrable and easy to control on smaller, winding rivers.

The Caleya can handle light whitewater up to WW2 without any issues. This includes rivers with small waves, moderate currents and simple obstacles. However, it is not designed for more demanding or technically challenging whitewater.

The Gumotex Caleya is made from the proven NITRILON® material, known for its high abrasion resistance, UV stability and long lifespan. The kayak handles regular use on rivers, gravel banks and light whitewater without losing stiffness or reliability. Its smooth surface allows for quick drying and easy cleaning.

With proper care, the Caleya retains its shape and full performance for many years, making it an excellent choice for paddlers looking for a durable and low-maintenance inflatable kayak.

The Gumotex Caleya can be folded down compactly and stored in the included transport bag. Thanks to its low weight, it is easy to carry and fits comfortably in a car boot. The open design also makes it easier to dry the kayak completely, which is especially practical when travelling.

For transport from the car to the water, we recommend using a kayak trolley. This allows you to move the Caleya comfortably over longer distances and with additional gear, while reducing strain on your back.
