Zelgear Spark 520

The Zelgear Spark 520 comes with three seats, three foot braces, and three pairs of thigh straps. The included double fin enhances the kayak’s directional stability and maneuverability. In addition, the package contains a repair kit for minor damage, an air pump, and a transport bag, providing everything you need to store, maintain, and transport your Spark 520 easily.

In addition to essential gear such as a paddle or life vest, we also recommend using a pressure gauge to monitor the kayak’s operating pressure with the Zelgear Spark 520.

A kayak trolley, such as the Eckla Beach Rolly, makes transporting the Spark 520 much easier and helps when carrying it over obstacles. To secure the trolley to the kayak, we offer specially designed D-rings.

The Spark 520 truly reaches its full potential when paired with a rudder system, which significantly improves maneuvering and steering. For additional protection of your gear from splashes, a spray deck designed for the Zelgear Spark 520 can also be purchased.

If paddling with four people, an additional seat is required.

The Zelgear Spark 520 can be inflated in just a few minutes using the included air pump. Start by inflating the drop-stitch floor to 0.5 bar, then fill the side chambers to 0.25 bar.

The side tubes feature built-in overpressure valves to prevent overinflation. The included seats can be easily inflated by mouth using their screw valves. The supplied double fin is inserted into a sleeve at the stern and secured automatically as the kayak is inflated.

The Zelgear Spark 520 is a kayak designed for one to four paddlers. It provides enough space for three adults, three adults with a child, or two paddlers with gear for multi-day adventures. If you plan to paddle with four people, an additional seat is required for your Spark 520.

Thanks to its length and excellent straight-line tracking, the Zelgear Spark 520 is especially well suited for lakes and larger rivers.

The Zelgear Spark 520 is built to handle heavy loads and, like all models in the Spark series, combines durable PVC side chambers with a high-pressure drop-stitch floor. Inflated to 0.5 bar, the floor gives this long inflatable kayak an impressively stiff and resilient structure, ensuring it remains reliable even when fully loaded or on demanding tours.

The UV-resistant PVC side chambers, inflated to 0.25 bar, are abrasion-proof and designed for regular use on lakes and rivers. A major advantage is the removable drop-stitch floor, which can be replaced if needed—a key feature that contributes to the long lifespan of this particularly large touring kayak.

Despite its 520 cm length, the Zelgear Spark 520 can be packed down surprisingly compactly for transport. The drop-stitch floor can be folded separately, significantly reducing the packed size and making handling easier. Weighing 25 kg, the kayak remains manageable for two people and fits comfortably into the boot of larger vehicles or the storage area of a camper van.
